Knockout v2 Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 14, 2026
This policy explains what information the Knockout v2 game ("the app", "we") uses and why. There are no accounts in the app: we never ask for your email, real name, phone number, contacts or location, and the app does not use your microphone.
Information kept on your device
Your progress, currencies, team, cosmetics, settings, the player name you choose and the profile picture you pick are saved on your phone. Deleting the app deletes this data.
Information sent to our servers
Online features use Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Authentication) to store a small amount of game data:
- Anonymous sign-in: the app signs in to Firebase Authentication with a random ID that isn't connected to your name, email or any account. It's used only so that your leaderboard entry can be changed by your device and no one else's.
- Leaderboard: your chosen player name, logo, colour and ticket count, stored under a random code the app creates for you. Anyone using the app can see the leaderboard.
- Invite codes: your random invite code, and invite rewards sent to it by friends.
- Reports: if you report a player (on the leaderboard, in a lobby or in a match), we store their random code and player name and your random code, so we can review it.
- Online matches: while you play online, your player name, logo, colour, team and moves are shared with the other players in the match. If you set a profile picture, a small copy is shared with them too. Match data is temporary and is marked to expire 24 hours after the match.
Please don't use your real name or personal details as your player name.
Advertising
The app shows ads through Google AdMob and requests non-personalized ads only. Google may still collect information such as your device type, IP address and how you interact with ads in order to show and measure them. See how Google uses information in ads and Google's privacy policy.
In-app purchases
Purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details; Apple tells the app only which item you bought.
Children
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The only details the app shares are the game data above, and player names are filtered for inappropriate words.
Removing your data
To have your leaderboard entry removed, email us with your invite code (found under Settings > Invite) and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
